Who doesn’t want to feel good in their skin?

The time has come for shorts, tanks and yes, swim suits!  If you’re not totally sold on how you look in your swim attire, you’re not alone.  About one in four women don’t trust anyone to tell them honestly if a swimsuit looks good on them.  I’m not sure about the guys.  Usually, I pick out a swimsuit in Jim’s favorite color, blue, he puts it on, looks in the mirror and we agree with a thumb up or down.  Simple stuff without hurt feelings.

Maybe you can’t lose all the fat you see in the mirror but you can decrease the bloat surrounding your navel.  Since a million sit-ups won’t give you a 6-pack, food or lack there of will rid your body of unwanted bloat otherwise know as inflammatory weight.  Try any of these and see what you get:

  • Eat a liquid diet for 2 days:  vegetable smoothies with limited fruit, soups, broths, and yes, purified water.
  • Get off the refined sugar!  This is must for any health reason.
  • Eliminate grains, gluten and dairy for 7 days.
  • Ease up on green leafy veggies temporarily:  while high in nutrients, leafy greens can wreak havoc on your gut, ending in bloat.  Try juicing or blending your greens.
  • Fast through breakfast – black coffee or green tea is is acceptable
  • Eat only 3 meals a day for 5 days.
  • Drink lemon water every morning before your coffee/tea.
  • Eliminate all liquid calories:  sweetened teas, sodas both diet and regular.
  • Hydrate well each day – drink about 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water.  So, if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 ounces of water.
  • Foods to include that decrease inflammation are salmon, blueberries, pineapple, coconut oil, walnuts, chia seeds and flax seeds.

Having celiac, my gut tends to be sensitive, especially when I’ve eaten out more often or eaten foods I don’t normally consume.  Fasting through breakfast and even lunch, allows my gut to rest and recover from “food trauma.”  Once I’ve fasted, the bloat is gone and my gut seems calm, I will have a green smoothie (see recipe below) and eat one solid meal. Personally, this works for me.  Give it a try and see how you feel.

By the way, the photo above is of our boys from a few years ago.  Lean, growing machines.  They seem to be comfortable in their skin and we can too!

7 – DAY DETOX!  Just $50!

Want to learn the step-by-step, day by day process for losing unwanted weight, quick?  Sign up for my 7-Day Detox.  Here’s one client’s testimony:

“At my initial meeting with Lisa, I was honest to a fault.  Along with providing thorough answers to the initial questionnaire, I told Lisa that there was no way I would stick with this program unless I saw quick results.  This led her to suggest kick starting my process with a 7-day detox.  Although I was slightly skeptical, I liked the idea of this detox because I could purchase everything at Hy-Vee or Whole Foods…I wasn’t buying a program, but instead I was buying into a lifestyle change.  Within 2-days of beginning the detox, my sinus issues were alleviated (for the first time in years, I could breathe)…my GI issues were beginning to be resolved…and my energy level was remarkable.  After only 2-weeks of working with Lisa: the 7-day detox and then 7-days of her (realistic) program, I feel incredible.  I’m eating all the time, I haven’t had to stop living (i.e. I can still go out to eat, enjoy cocktails, etc.) and my workouts are on a different level.  Like I alluded to earlier, my sinus issues are gone, my GI issues are resolved, I have immense amounts of energy, my skin is clearing up, I can tell that my clothes fit differently and I’m finally becoming my own biggest fan (or as Lisa told me: “Welcome to #TeamEmily”).  Based on the foregoing, coupled with Lisa’s guidance and support, I don’t see myself reverting to old habits, ever.  The (figurative) cherry on top?! I’ve lost about 9 pounds…in two weeks.   I’m so excited to see what the remainder of my journey with Lisa brings.”

Why wait, contact me today!   It’s easy and brings the results you’re looking for.  You can do anything for 7 days.  The alternative is, take me shopping with you and I’ll be the one in four to be honest with you about your swimsuit.  I promise to be nice but honest 🙂
